What one scan costs in credits
One credit scans 25 accounts of a list, so a scan costs the list's size ÷ 25, rounded up, and never less than 10 credits. Following and followers are separate lists, charged separately.

You pick how often each account is scanned automatically. It is a ceiling, not a schedule: a list is scanned when its count moved, or after a week. A 1,000-account list costs at most 1,200 credits a month daily, 400 every 3 days and 172 weekly.
What costs credits, and what is free
Every scan is quoted before it runs, and the charge never goes above the quote.

Paid plan credits are added monthly and roll over while your membership remains active. All unused paid credits expire when your membership ends. Signup credits never expire. Credits expiring soonest are spent first.
Pricing questions
One credit scans 25 accounts of a list, so a list of 1,000 people costs 40 credits per scan, and no scan costs less than 10. Following and follower lists are charged separately, and only the lists you track are ever scanned.
Yes. A completed scan is charged whether or not it finds changes, because the work was done. Detected changes appear in the activity timeline. A scan that fails, a private or missing account and a hidden list are never charged, and we tell you which.
Yes. Paid credits accumulate each month while your membership remains active, including through continuous renewals. When the membership expires or ends, unused paid credits are cleared. Signup credits never expire.
A scan your credits can't cover doesn't run. Automatic scans resume once you have enough credits. Claim free credits daily or choose a paid plan for monthly credits. Count checks stay free.
Only the price: $99 a year for Lite, $199 for Starter or $499 for Pro, 2 months free against paying monthly. You get the same credits every month as on monthly billing.
Cancel in one click from Settings; your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Moving between plans, or between monthly and annual billing, happens in the billing portal. A bigger plan or annual billing starts at once and you pay only the difference for the time left; a smaller plan or monthly billing starts when your paid period ends.
No. The free plan has no time limit and never becomes a paid subscription automatically. Tracking continues while you have enough credits for each scan. If credits run short, scans wait and your history stays readable.
Yes. If it’s your first subscription, write to support@instoryview.com within 7 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, together with any upgrade you paid for in those days, for any reason. Duplicate or mistaken charges are refunded in full when you tell us within 14 days of the charge. A full refund ends the subscription it paid for. The details are in our Terms of Service.
Every plan can ask about your tracked accounts through the ChatGPT plugin, the MCP server, the Skill or the CLI. Reading data we already saved is free, and online lookups use credits within a budget you approve. AI summaries of each change overview come with Lite, Starter and Pro, up to 70 a month, included in the plan price.

No. The Story Viewer shows stories without an account; highlights, posts, the Likes Viewer and the Follower Viewer need a free account. Each lookup uses one credit per request to Instagram, and answers we already have are free. Signed out you get 5 free credits, once; signed in you can claim 10 more every day.
