Detected changes
Query the follower or following changes Instoryview detected for an account, by date.
Read recent changes
GET /open-api/v1/accounts/alice/changesBy default this returns follower changes for the last seven calendar days in UTC. Add list=following for following changes. It reads your accessible tracking history and spends no collection credits.
Choose a date range
GET /open-api/v1/accounts/alice/changes?list=followers&from=2026-10-01&to=2026-10-07&timezone=UTC&limit=50| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
list | string | followers (default) or following. |
from, to | date | YYYY-MM-DD, both days included. Send them together; at most 366 calendar days. |
timezone | string | IANA timezone that defines the dates. Default UTC. |
limit | integer | 1–100. Default 50. |
cursor | string | The nextCursor from the previous page. |
The 366-day maximum limits the range. It does not promise 366 days of available history.
Summary and items
data includes accountId, username, list, from, to, timezone, summary and items. summary covers your whole readable range; items is one page.
| Summary field | Meaning |
|---|---|
added, removed | Detected additions and removals. |
netDiscovered | Detected additions minus detected removals. |
countNetChange | The change in observed profile totals, where there are enough observations. |
Unknown summary values are null, not 0. netDiscovered and countNetChange can differ.
Each item has id, kind, detectedAt and account (id and username). kind is new_follower, lost_follower, new_follow or unfollow.
detectedAt is when Instoryview detected the change, not the exact time of the Instagram action.
Paging
Use limit and the returned nextCursor. For the next page send the cursor alone: it keeps the list, dates and timezone of the first page, and any of them you send anyway must match. The server fixes your query's observation context while you page; if it expires, cursor_expired asks you to start a new read. Changes come from your own tracking history, so an account you never tracked returns list_not_authorized.
Respect coverage and warnings. A gap, or no detected event, cannot prove that nothing happened. A first snapshot establishes a baseline; it does not reveal past follow history.
